The management of agreement exclusions is a good example of this type of manual mass update. You may not be aware of it, but every time you add a new role or type of work, it is automatically included in the scope of all existing agreements. This is because the ConnectWise only stores the roles and types of work that you expressly exclude from an agreement, which means that all new roles and types of work are included by default. Remember that the MRR is king in the world of managerial services! We should always strive to sell full manage services agreements on Block Time. MRR agreements are the key to the correct valuation of your company as well as the revenue/work forecast. Now that we have created the type of contract, we must establish an agreement for our new client. In our example, we work with XYZ Test Company. 1. Open the agreement, then go to the Supplements tab. Add a supplement to your blockzeit product, select the amount of hours added and the verified price information is correct. The first thing we need to do is create the type of contract.

This should only be done once and this type of agreement can then be reused for future commitments. 3. Enter the initial time block under the application settings and select the application limit as the limit, then enter the initial amount of the time. The type of contract should automatically complete this as one time only, as seen below. Access configuration tables > > contract types. Look for the type of agreement and click on the Exclusions link under Application Settings. Use the interface to choose which work roles and types of work should be covered by the “No Covered” chord, then click the Completed button. Repeat this procedure for all types of contracts you want to update. 5. Under billing, select the billing model to use as well as any other additional items required for this contract.

You will find a full explanation of all the domains in CW`s official documentation at docs.connectwise.com/ConnectWise_Documentation/080/017/050/010. NOTE: This article deals only with the creation of the type of contract and the use for this form of agreement, as gl assignments and product configurations can vary considerably from one MSP to another depending on accounting requirements. 6. Save and close the deal, then click on the Supplements tab. 5. Set all additional settings as needed, e.g. B types of work covered, etc. Detailed explanations of contract types and configuration are available in the official ConnectW documentation in docs.connectwise.com/ConnectWise_Documentation/090/020/020/010. Update Lines 4 and 5 (both places) with a list of AGR_Type_RecIDs you collected in Stage 2 (in this example the types of Gold, Platinum and Silver contracts). Lines 4 and 5 mean that you only make active agreements (not cancelled, no end/or end date in the future). Wouldn`t it be nice if you could have updated the exclusions without having to touch on all the existing agreements? Although you can`t do this via the ConnectWise interface, it`s possible to create these updates directly via SQL. Then you have to recover the AGR_Type_RecIDs for each type of contract you have updated in Step 1.
